The illustration represents my daughter’s belief in her Ukrainian heritage and her passion for Ukrainian dance. I am incredibly taken with the intricacy and intertwining patterns of the Art Nouveau style. Upon quickly sketching my daughter sitting beside me one night, the composition took to form. The pre-Christian costuming seemed to blend itself into the patterning of the artwork so easily. This piece holds a special place in my heart and is a symbol of my Art style.
